Burger Time Arcade Game is a classic 80’s arcade game available for rent. It was initially released in Japan in 1982 as “Hamburger.” Legendary arcade maker Data East developed the game. In the United States, the game was renamed and released by Bally Midway under a license from Data East.
During the gameplay, the player is chef Peter Pepper and must complete several hamburgers while avoiding enemy foods like Mr. Hot Dog, Me. Pickle and Mr. Egg. There are several levels consisting of a maze of planks and ladders in which giant ingredients are laid out. A burger is completed when all the ingredients drop out of the labyrinth onto a waiting plate.
In Japan Hamburger Arcade Game was one of the highest-earning games of 1982. It was listed as the fourth-best game after its release in the United States in November 1982. The game was labeled as “stupidest, silliest game ever, and that’s why you couldn’t get people off the Burger Time game with a crowbar!”
