One of the last baseball themed pinball machines produced, Frank Thomas’ Big Hurt Pinball is a classic narrow bodied, 4-ball pinball game with cabinet art depicting smiling two-time American League MVP and White Sox player Frank Thomas at the completion of his mighty swing of the bat. Released by Gottlieb in 1995, it is widely considered by pinball enthusiasts to be one of their last great game systems. The Big Hurt pinball machine simulates a trip to the ball field, complete with cheering crowds, an announcer giving the play-by-play, and a Playfield laid out like a baseball stadium, featuring a moving glove that attempts to capture hits to the outfield.
